Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
This policy explains what information DTC Planner collects, why, who processes it for us, and your choices. DTC Planner is operated by Move Global Solutions.
What we collect
- Account details: your name and email address, and, if you sign in with Google, your Google profile name and email.
- Workspace data: brand name, team members and roles, and the planning data you add, such as products, suppliers and their contacts, purchase orders, receipts, costs, campaigns and forecasts.
- Shopify store data, with the access you grant when you install the app.
- Billing details: if you're billed through Shopify, Shopify handles payment and we receive the status of your subscription. If you pay by card, Stripe handles payment and we keep your subscription status and Stripe customer ID. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Usage and error information: basic technical data, such as browser type and error messages, so we can keep the service working.
What we read and keep from Shopify
- Products and variants: product and variant names, SKU codes, product image links, selling prices and Shopify's product and variant IDs. Gift cards and items Shopify doesn't track stock for are skipped.
- Inventory: units available, added up across your locations, saved as a daily stock figure per product. We also read Shopify's “Cost per item” to fill in unit costs you haven't entered.
- Orders: paid orders from up to the last 12 months. We use each order's line items (product, quantity, price and discount) and its sale date to work out units sold and sales value per product by week, month and 30-day period. We save those totals. We don't save individual orders.
- Customer details: Shopify includes customer details in order data. DTC Planner doesn't use or store them: no customer names, emails, phone numbers or addresses are saved.
- Locations: read so stock can be summed across them.
How we use it
- To run DTC Planner for you: forecasts, buy suggestions, purchase orders, receiving, supplier scorecards and team access.
- To send service email, such as sign-in links, team invitations, weekly digests you ask for, purchase order emails you send to suppliers, and billing notices.
- On the Expert plan, so your Move Supply Chain analyst can review your workspace, write your weekly buy note and follow up purchase orders with your suppliers.
- To provide support, keep the service secure and fix problems. A small number of Move Supply Chain staff can access workspaces for support and setup.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't use your store data to train AI models.
Connecting Claude or ChatGPT
You can connect DTC Planner to an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT (see AI Connectors). You sign in with your DTC Planner account and approve the connection. The assistant can then read planning figures from your active workspace, such as reorder suggestions, stock, purchase orders, supplier scores, forecasts and the weekly digest, with the same access you have in the app. If you ask, it can also save a draft purchase order, which waits for you to approve it; it cannot approve or send a PO, or change anything else. It never receives shopper details (we store none) or supplier contact details.
What we send to the assistant is the answer to each question you ask. Anthropic or OpenAI then handle it under your own account and their terms, not ours. We keep a count of each person's requests to enforce limits, and records of the connection approval. To stop sharing, remove DTC Planner from the assistant's connectors or plugins.
Connecting QuickBooks Online
If you connect QuickBooks Online on the Accounting page, you approve access in QuickBooks. DTC Planner then reads your vendors, products and accounts so it can match them to your suppliers and SKUs, and creates purchase orders, vendors and bills in QuickBooks only when you click to send them. It does not change or delete existing QuickBooks records, and it does not read your customers, invoices or bank data. The access keys are stored encrypted. You can disconnect at any time on the Accounting page or in QuickBooks; we then delete the keys.
Connecting Xero
If you connect Xero on the Accounting page, you approve access in Xero. DTC Planner then reads your contacts, products, accounts and currencies so it can match them to your suppliers and SKUs, and creates purchase orders, contacts and draft bills in Xero only when you click to send them. It does not change or delete existing Xero records, and it does not read your customers, invoices to customers or bank data. The access keys are stored encrypted. You can disconnect at any time on the Accounting page or in Xero; we then delete the keys. Xero data is not used to train AI models.
Who processes data for us
- Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage (United States).
- Vercel: website and app hosting.
- Shopify: the source of your store data, and billing for brands that install from the Shopify App Store.
- Stripe: card billing for brands not billed through Shopify.
- Resend: sending email.
- Anthropic: the Claude AI model behind Delphi, AI Forecast and setup suggestions. Only the workspace data needed for the request is sent with it.
- Terminal49: shipment tracking, for container and bill of lading numbers you add.
- Google: sign-in, if you choose “Continue with Google”.
How we protect it
Each brand's data sits in a private workspace, and database rules stop one brand from reading another's. Access tokens for connected stores are stored encrypted on our servers and never sent to the browser. All traffic uses encrypted connections. More detail is on our Data security page.
How long we keep it
- We keep workspace data while your account exists.
- When you uninstall the Shopify app, syncing stops and our access tokens for your store are deleted straight away.
- About 48 hours after you uninstall, Shopify asks us to erase your store's data. If you installed DTC Planner from the Shopify App Store, we delete the workspace and everything in it. If you signed up on our website and connected your store, we delete the data that came from Shopify (sales history, stock levels and product links) and keep the suppliers, purchase orders and settings you entered.
- If you cancel or your trial ends, your workspace is paused and its data is kept so you can come back.
- To delete your workspace and its data, the workspace owner can email lara@movesupplychain.com. We delete it within 30 days of the request.
- Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires.
Your choices and rights
- You can view and update your workspace data in the app, and export key tables, such as the Buying Table and SKU settings, as spreadsheets.
- You can disconnect Shopify at any time by uninstalling the app from your Shopify admin.
- You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information by emailing lara@movesupplychain.com. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under local law, such as GDPR or CCPA.
Changes
If we change this policy in a significant way, we'll email workspace owners before it applies.
